[...] The book’s publication date (as far as Amazon is concerned) is the 27th August, so hopefully I’ll be getting my hands on my copies very soon (and I can tell you from experience that it’s a great feeling, although probably not quite as momentous as the first time, so to speak).
Hi, Ian!

Thanks so much for the great comments about my book. I'm so appreciative of your help in making it an even better book, too. Hopefully you looked at my Acknowledgements in the book, too. If not, take a look. :-)

And yes, I was more than a little anxious for it to finally be published and for sale, and the incredibly long wait wasn't easy for me, that's for sure! I'm just glad it's now for sale at long last.

I just received my copies this morning, and I'm still obviously looking through everything. It looks good, though, and SitePoint did a fabulous job with putting it all together. I'm pleased and impressed with the final product.

I really did cover a LOT of material in my book, too. Maybe not seeing it all for so long helped my perspective that way! I do hope it sells well. I think your new book and mine would work well together, don't you? I'm glad you wrote that, Ian.

Feel free to email me and let's catch up on things. I'm thrilled about your new book, too, Ian, and I wish you all the best with it. Congratulations, too! It looks like it's getting some fabulous comments around the Web.

Keep me posted, Ian.

I recommended it to a colleague a few weeks ago. He was going to dust off his copy of Frontpage and buy a book for it, but I managed to persuade him to resist the lure of the dark side. Saw him today and he was raving about the book, said it was pitched at just the right level for someone like him who knows how to use a computer but has absolutely no web experience. Nice work! And no, I'm not stalking you, it just appears that way. ;-)

Ooooh, that is wicked, Mr Pennell. Wash your mouth out this instant! :-)

Honestly, I';ve *never* seen a SitePoint book in one of those shops - I take that as a good sign.

Will you be making a similar post the first time that you encounter your book in the "Under 99p" bargain bucket of a permanently closing down booksale shop..? ;)
